We provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation across Melbourne, Geelong, and surrounding areas, helping NDIS participants live independently while receiving the right level of support.

How to Apply or Enquire About a SIL Vacancy

Finding the right home starts with a conversation.

The best way to get started is to call our friendly team to discuss your goals, preferences, and funding.

 

We’ll talk through:

  • Your NDIS plan and funding

  • Your preferred location and timeline

  • Any specific support or accessibility needs

  • Whether you’re transitioning from hospital or another living arrangement and need accommodation as a matter of urgency

 

If we don’t have a current vacancy that suits your needs, we’ll connect you with other local providers who might.

Types of SIL Accommodation
We Offer

We provide a range of SIL accommodation options in Melbourne to suit different needs and preferences:

 

Shared SIL Homes 
Typically two or three participants with 24/7 staff support.

 

Individualised SIL

For participants requiring their own space.

In-Home SIL

Support delivered in your existing home.

 

SIL + SDA Arrangements

Where Westpeak provides support in SDA-owned homes.
 

We can also offer Short-Term Accommodation options, provided your NDIS funding covers this. This is subject to discussion with the Westpeak management team.

Our Approach to Matching You With the Right SIL Home

Every participant is unique, and so is every Westpeak home.

We take the time to get to know you — your personality, routines, preferences, and goals — before recommending a home.

We also carefully consider compatibility between residents, grouping people with similar needs, interests, and independence levels.

 

For example:

  • We won't place a participant with high physical needs alongside someone who is physically vulnerable.

  • We always aim for a positive match between residents and support workers, ensuring everyone feels respected, valued, and safe.

  • If we don’t have a current vacancy that’s the right fit, our team can refer you to other trusted providers in your preferred area.​​

Our Commitment to Safety, Quality, and Care

Every member of our team is chosen not only for their qualifications but for their compassion and dedication to participant wellbeing.

All Westpeak Disability Support Workers hold:

  • Qualifications in Disability or a related field

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Working with Children Check

  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.​

Many also receive specialised training in complex care and behavioural support, ensuring every participant receives safe, respectful, and consistent care.

Our continuity of care model ensures clear communication between staff, proactive health monitoring, and ongoing professional development — so you always feel supported, informed, and confident in your care.
